Celebrating Our Graduates: Class of 2024
The auditorium was filled with joy and pride as we celebrated the achievements of our incredible students at the College and Career Preparatory Academy. The Class of 2024 graduation ceremony was a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, who have overcome numerous challenges to reach this significant milestone. We are immensely proud of the 141 graduates of the Class of 2024. Your journey has been one of determination and resilience, and now it’s time to celebrate your success. This graduation is not just an end but a new beginning, filled with endless possibilities. The ceremony featured a solemn presentation of colors organized by Non-Commissioned Officer SGT Christopher Menjivar and presented by California Job ChalleNGe scholars, adding a touch of dignity and respect to the event.
The Courage Scholarship
The Courage Scholarship is presented to the graduate who shows great courage in the face of obstacles and takes the steps necessary to move forward. This year’s winner is Ms. Venecia M., a mother who never gave up on her dream of completing her diploma. With dual roles as a mother and student, she faced numerous obstacles and challenges on her journey to education. She had to juggle parenting responsibilities, school, and life. Despite these challenges, Venecia refused to give up. She knew that education was the key to a better life for her and her child, and she was determined to see it through. She studied hard, completed assignments, and always demonstrated honesty and ethical behavior. In recognition of her hard work, dedication, achievements, and the courage to go after her dreams and make them a reality, we proudly awarded Ms. Venecia the CCPA Courage Scholarship.
Inspiring Words from Our Speakers
Our graduation ceremony featured inspiring speeches from distinguished guests who shared their wisdom and encouragement with the graduates.
“Not everyone follows the traditional high school route, and programs like CCPA give people like me and like our graduates here today, another opportunity to earn a high school diploma. These programs are so valuable because people can go and get further education, can get better job skills, to then have better employment opportunities.” – Keynote Speaker Alumni Melissa Price
For those still on their journey to graduation, remember that every step you take brings you closer to your goal. You have the power to achieve your dreams and walk across that stage.
